Ivanka Trump has found herself under the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s microscope, and she’s about to find out if she has a problem her daddy’s money can’t get her out of. The Trump’s have always operated under the assumption that they could just buy their ways in and out of incidents without repercussion, but that was before they decided to take up residence with the government.
Now, Ivanka’s international dealing are being investigated by the FBI, according to CNN:
“The FBI has been looking into the negotiations and financing surrounding Trump International Hotel and Tower in Vancouver, according to a US official and a former US official. The scrutiny could be a hurdle for the first daughter as she tries to obtain a full security clearance in her role as adviser to President Donald Trump.”
It is perfectly normal for these procedures to take place, in fact, it’s the standard procedure in securing a background check to attain White House security clearance.
However, it could be a very bad thing for Ivanka, as her past business dealings have been sprinkled with heavy doses of shadiness and legally questionable acts. This could end terribly for the ridiculous act this woman has been putting on since the beginning; that is, if the FBI finds anything she doesn’t want them to find.
The FBI has been looking closely at the international business entanglements of both Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, to determine whether any of those deals could leave them vulnerable to pressure from foreign agents, including China.”
There is currently no understanding of why exactly the spotlight would be on this deal in particular, however, there was very a large transfer of money taking place from a foreign entity, and that in itself is reason for the deal to be looked into.
Ivanka’s team spoke out with this response to CNN’s story:
“CNN is wrong that any hurdle, obstacle, concern, red flag or problem has been raised with respect to Ms. Trump or her clearance application. Nothing in the new White House policy has changed Ms. Trump’s ability to do the same work she has been doing since she joined the Administration.”
