Since the early days of his campaign, “President” Donald Trump has continuously taken any blame that should be placed on him and deflected it on anyone else. That behavior still continues today and took center stage at a fundraiser held at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort.
The speech was given Saturday to Republican guests. Though it was a closed-door gathering, a recording was made of Trump’s remarks and promptly provided to CNN.
Most frightening was Trump’s remarks about China’s President Xi Jinping’s recent moves to remove presidential term limits. Trump said:
‘He’s now president for life. President for life. No, he’s great. And look, he was able to do that. I think it’s great. Maybe we’ll have to give that a shot someday.’
You hear that creaking? That’s the sound of the bones of our forefathers who are rolling over in their graves.
Much focus has been placed on Trump and his family thanks to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation and the investigations conducted by the congressional intelligence committees. Trump’s own son-in-law, Jared Kushner, had his security clearance downgraded recently. Trump also lost his communications director Hope Hicks, after she testified she had told “white lies” for the president.
So, what do you do when your world is crashing down around you? You complain about Hillary Clinton, of course!
He complained that people wanted to investigate his actions during the election; however, no one was giving any attention to the super evil villain Hillary Clinton.
‘I’m telling you, it’s a rigged system folks. I’ve been saying that for a long time. It’s a rigged system. And we don’t have the right people in there yet. We have a lot of great people, but certain things, we don’t have the right people.’
You can consider that a jab at his Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who has yet to open an investigation into Clinton. Trump has directly criticized Sessions on Twitter for not investigating Clinton.
What was really weird was when he obsessed over Clinton and what her life is like now. He remarked:
‘Is Hillary a happy person? Do you think she’s happy? When she goes home at night, does she say, “What a great life?” I don’t think so. You never know. I hope she’s happy.’
Who does that? Why the obsession with Clinton’s life now? Trump won the election. Trump’s obsession though is the distraction that he needs to take people’s attention off of his crumbling world.
